Shipping Classes
We’ve done our utmost to make our shipping as simple and economical as possible. Due to the nature of our products, the following shipping rules apply and we have grouped our products into categories. We have organised our shipping to discount extra packages for your order where possible.
Class 1. Standard Items
These items consist of the majority of products in our store. Multiple standard items can be packed together up to 30kg per parcel.
Class 2. Non-Standard Items
These are items that are heavy, bulky or odd-sized and cannot be easily packed with standard items. They may also consist of items that if packed together can easily damage other items should an accident occur during transit.
(Examples of Non-Standard Items include but are not limited to: Paint in 5 litres and above, Bulk Seed bags, any single item at or above 15kg in weight, and any item at or above 1 metre in length.)
Class 3. Double Items (Paint up to 2.5L)
Due to the complications in shipping paint and our carrier’s inability to insure for damages, paint in quantities up to 2.5 litres may be shipped in packages consisting of two items within this class. We will do our best to further discount shipping costs while attending your order and will discount shipping at our discretion.

Delivery Information
Your items will be dispatched from our Kilcoole Store and delivered by Fastway Couriers or another courier service requiring a signature at collection. You may receive an email once your order has been prepared and ready for dispatch. If ordered before 12pm on a best-effort basis it will be dispatched the same day.
Once you receive a completion notice your shipping label will be printed and unfortunately, this is non-refundable if you decide to cancel your order. We normally expect your order to be delivered within 2-5 working days. Working days are Monday to Friday excluding public holidays.
Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be deemed as being placed on the following Monday. Please note: Delivery date may be affected by stock availability and location of delivery; however, a member of staff will be in contact in such a situation. We regret at present we cannot deliver on weekends or bank holidays. Our staff physically checks all goods before dispatch from our store.

Important Information
Signature Required
A valid signature from your household will be required by a person 18 years or older. You will then become the owner of the items and Total DIY will not be liable for their loss or destruction.
Damages or Breakages
Any damages or breakages must be reported to our store within 24 hours of delivery.
WEEE Electrical Items
Any deliveries made by courier do not include the facility to return any old electrical item. Old WEEE electrical items can be returned to our store directly in Kilcoole or to your local recycling centre. From the day of delivery, you will have 30 days to return the ‘similar type’ product to our store. Please ensure you keep your online order docket for the new electrical item and present this at the store.
Paint Colour Matching
Mixed Paint Colours will be checked against colour cards where possible before shipping. Once satisfied it is a match it will be regarded as non-returnable. Any competitor’s match will also be deemed non-returnable once they are a similar match.
Due to the complicated nature of mixing paints, colours may not be an exact match to colour cards. Once the match is deemed close enough during inspection it will become non-returnable.
Please note: Picking colours from computer screens is not reliable for actual paint matches. Screen brightness will affect the shade and colour, so we always recommend purchasing tester pots.

Large Items & Bulk Orders
Delivery charges for ‘Large Items’ or ‘Bulk Orders’ nationwide can be agreed upon by direct contact with the store by phone 01 201 8798, email or on our Contact Us page. The independent transport company will contact you in advance of delivery.
